Damien Somé is Programme Lead, Philanthropy and Emerging Markets at GESDA, on secondment from the Global Antibiotic Research & Development Partnership (GARDP) since August 2025.
He supports GESDA’s strategic partnerships and resource mobilisation efforts, with a focus on engaging philanthropic partners and emerging markets.
Damien brings more than a decade of experience across global health, international development and science diplomacy, including roles with GARDP, UNICEF and the Kofi Annan Foundation. He holds a Master’s in International Affairs from the Geneva Graduate Institute and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Tamkang University. He is fluent in French, English and Mandarin.
