Joanna Wiśniewska is Head of Stakeholder Engagement at GESDA and a senior strategic engagement leader with over 20 years of international experience in diplomacy, economics, and science at the nexus of sustainable development and global cooperation.
Prior to joining GESDA, she advised Ministries of Health and Finance in 50+ countries at Gavi where she shaped national financing strategies, cultivated global partnerships, and advanced equitable access to health systems.
She previously held policy and leadership roles at the OECD in Paris, where she coordinated multilateral platforms and intergovernmental networks focused on global cooperation and development economics. Her career spans anticipatory governance, multilateral diplomacy, and cross-sector coalitions in both public and private spheres.
She has worked with major multilateral actors — including the World Bank, African Development Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, European Commission, UNICEF, and WHO — to co-design impactful partnerships and drive shared outcomes across sectors and regions.
At GESDA, Joanna leads strategic stakeholder engagement, building bridges across diplomacy, science, business, and society to co-create shared agendas for regenerative, inclusive futures.
She holds a Master of Science in International Economics from the Poznań University of Economics, as well as Master’s degrees in International Management and Business from ESCP Business School and the Asian Institute of Technology. She is fluent in six languages.
